On July 18th, at 5:06 P.M., Rupert Murdoch and his Fox News empire set his sights on Donald Trump with a tweet declaring the current GOP front-runner to be an “embarrassment to the whole country” after Mr. Trump’s now infamous and unscripted comments regarding Senator John McCain’s “war hero” status.
Just twenty-four hours later, the Wall Street Journal joined the fray, calling out the Trump campaign as all but finished.
And within hours after that, we saw establishment Republicans and Democrats joining together in an effort to see Donald Trump’s campaign silenced for good.

The current media and politicians pile-on has come forth despite at least some media figures pointing out that Donald Trump’s actual words on the subject of John McCain’s war service were being willfully misrepresented:

It is now being suggested that what is transpiring against Donald Trump over the last 72 hours was in fact crafted by both media and political figures from varying allegiances unified in one thing – eliminating a potentially uncontrollable candidate.

“This Donald Trump thing was supposed to be over shortly after his launch when he made the comments about some illegals being violent criminals. When Trump not only survived that initial media attack, but grew in popularity, the power structure in both the Democratic and Republican camps became increasingly concerned. They then prepared a multi-pronged attack from all sides the next time he misspoke which they were certain he would do. The McCain comments gave them that opportunity. People should be made aware it wasn’t the media who first pressed the story. It was the other Republican candidates. The media backlash followed later. John McCain is more than happy to play his part because he believes it makes him relevant and that has long been his #1 priority. It’s simply another version of McCain the Campaign from 2008. Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett have a great deal of money and influence tied directly into the political environment of the next decade or two in America. Trump represents a direct threat to those plans and they and their supporters have decided he is enough of a threat that his political aspirations are to be ended sooner rather than later. They want predictable, not unpredictable. They will allow shades of political difference but not the unknown. Jeb Bush is their first choice (emphasis added) even more so than Hillary Clinton, though they will tolerate her if need be. And if you want further proof of how this current plan was already in place, look no further than a recent signing of an all new Fox News contributor. There is no way the timing of the two was mere coincidence. It’s being suggested it was Jarrett’s idea and Rupert enthusiastically ran with it.”
